Although brain injury may result in physical impairments, for some young people and their families the most problematic consequences involve the changes in the young person’s cognitions, emotions and behaviour. Holistic intervention should therefore include cognitive, emotional and behavioural assessments and interventions.

Our
treatment packages include psychological, cognitive and behavioural rehabilitation strategies that have been shown to improve cognitive, educational, emotional, behavioural and social difficulties.

Early, appropriate intervention can reduce the likelihood that the child will experience continued academic failure or impairments in adaptive functioning, which may lead to more severe emotional, social or behavioural difficulties (so called secondary disabilities).
