Family/Systemic therapy
The family plays a significant role in the adjustment of a young person who experiences a head injury and therefore the wellbeing of the family is fundamental to any comprehensive treatment approach. Interventions range from providing information to more specific and targeted psychological approaches.
SPA offers workshops to relatives and those employed as support workers for the young person as well as family therapy approaches which aim to optimise the skills and empower the system of those caring for the young person.
